IN THE HOME
Don't advertise for crime. Many homes are invitations to a would - be crime.
- Most homes can be made more secure easily and inexpensively.
- Always keep doors and windows locked when away - that includes the garage.
Half of all break-ins are through unlocked entrances.
- Use locks that work - dead bolts and sash locks are best.

- Always lock car doors after entering or leaving the car.
- Park in well-lighted areas.
- Check the back seat and floor before entering the car.

- When traveling, use major thoroughfares.
- Never leave purses or valuables visible in an unattended car.
- Have keys in hand to open the car doors without delay.
